Vitamin InjectionVitamins are the building blocks of health and well-being. Though many people take vitamins by mouth, the amount of nutrition that is absorbed by the body is only fractional. By injecting vitamins, the body is flooded with powerful nutrients that provide a higher level of availability. 

Vitamin injections may be beneficial for nearly all patients – whether they are in good health or not. Those who are well may choose vitamin injections to improve immunity during flu season or feel better during stress.

Energy. Alert. Increased Metabolism. Vitamin B12 has been known to help boost energy levels, increase metabolism especially when dieting, increase alertness, regulate mood and may help with depression and anxiety. Other health benefits may include decreasing the risk for stroke and cardiovascular disease, preventing nerve damage, and improving memory. It has been shown to contribute to helping certain conditions including arthritis, asthma, infertility, painful nerve conditions, and sleep disorders.

The Beauty Vitamin. Simply put, Biotin is mandatory for healthy eyes, hair, nails and skin. This is the “beauty” vitamin. In addition, Biotin is necessary for cell growth, the production of (healthy) fatty acids, and the metabolism of fats and amino acids.

Nerve Calming and Memory Improvment. Known effects of Vitamin B3 include anti-anxiety, helping with inflammatory skin conditions especially effective against inflammatory acne, restoring mental cognition in Alzheimer’s disease, and helping to increase physical endurance and fight against the effects of oxidative stress. Vitamin B5 has shown to decrease triglyceride and LDL levels, aiding with diabetic neuropathy, and improving wound healing. Vitamin B1 has been shown to also aid memory deficits of Alzheimer’s disease, improve memory, improve eye health, improve metabolism of fats and carbohydrates, and improve energy levels. Vitamin B2 contributes to red blood cell health and promotes improved oxygen delivery to tissues.

 

Healthy Aging. Vitamin B9 may decrease the risk of stroke, cardiovascular disease, and birth defects in pregnant women. It has been implicated in keeping arteries healthy, supporting hearing function, improving mood and possibly even preventing certain cancers. It may help with migraines, skin conditions such as dermatitis and psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, and restless leg syndrome.

How frequently can I get vitamin injections? Depending on your results, you may wish to undergo additional injections periodically or in series to achieve desirable results.

Are there any side effects? Side effects are generally non-existent or very mild but may include discomfort, bruising, redness, itching, inflammation, or redness at or around the site of injection that could last from a few minutes to several hours. Less frequent side effects may include lightheadedness, fatigue, headache, dizziness, warmth or flushing. True allergic reaction is not common.
